Johnny Depp is Smoking Electronic Cigarette in the new movie “The Tourist”

“The Tourist” – new movie where Johnny Depp plays an American tourist who meets Elise Ward (Angelina Jolie) on the train and the adventure full of action, mystery and romance begins.

Train ride is from Paris to Venice.  When Elise Ward (Angelina Jolie) enters the train cart – Frank (Johnny Depp) appears to be reading a book and smoking.  Audience seems to be at awe, as everyone knows that smoking is prohibited in public transportation.  Smoke seems to be real and it looks like a cigarette.  No one has a doubt that it is a real cigarette until Frank (Depp) tells Elise (Jolie) that he is smoking an e cigarette.

It seems that Frank has quit smoking and is smoking an electronic cigarette instead.  E cigarettes produce vapor instead of smoke.  They do not need to be lid and do not contain over 4000 different poisonous chemicals found in cigarettes.

E cigarettes have disposable cartridges.  There are 4 types of cartridges with different levels of nicotine – no nicotine, low nicotine, medium nicotine and high nicotine.

Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit usually comes with a mix of levels (1 High, 1 Medium, 1 Low and 2 No).  You can try the 4 different levels and then purchase any additional cartridges that you like.

We are seeing more and more celebrities smoking electronic cigarettes not only in real life, but on the big screen as well.  Leonardo DiCaprio was seen riding around on his bike and smoking an e cigarette earlier this year and now Johnny Depp is e smoking right on screen.

So is it the new healthy trend or just a gimmick – you be the judge.
